Posh Punkins

It’s Free Flow Friday, and you know how we LOVE it!  We get to spend some time talking about all the cool places or things around town that the Nirvana Mommas love.

I was meeting a client for lunch in El Dorado Hills last week.  I’ve heard of the children’s store, Posh Punkins, (www.shopposhpunkins.com) and have always wanted to check it out.  I always peruse specialty children boutique’s in search of everything unique for my 11 month old niece, Riley.  AND my niece rocks the outfits.  We always make sure she looks rockin’.  As an infant she would don her hello kitty bedazzled t-shirt, with her 575 jeans and vans.  Since I have two boys, I always make sure my “girls” sport it!  I have another niece too, but she is 10 years old and the majority of boutique’s that carry toddler clothes don’t go up to age 10.  Or so I thought.  I’ve got a job to do for these girls!

As I walk into Posh Punkins, I was extremely overwhelmed.  In a good way.  We are talking Willy Wonka candy store, the lego store at Disneyland or FAO Schwartz.  I didn’t know where to start.  I, of course, started looking at the True Religion white stitch Joey SUPER T for toddlers.  Yes, for toddlers.  For $150.00 you too could have your toddler rock some white stitchers.  The funny thing is that both Rod and I have the white stitchers.  If I had a little girl…I would have purchased stock in the store.  I then walked past the Ed Hardy t -hirts and glittery barrettes, all of which would suit my niece well.  As I kept looking down at my watch because of my client lunch, I quickly overcome by anxiety looking at everything I possibly could.  Rod then grabbed the Frye boots and said, “Jill, check these out.”  I love Frye boots, and these boots would fit mini me.  So cute!!  Being a fashionista myself, I practiced deep breathing as I walked through this store.  I felt like I would walk-out and land on Robertson Blvd. in LA, and drop next door to shop at Kitson after having a bite at the Ivy.

I only made it through half of the store when I noticed they had boys clothes, too.  OH MY!  This meant that if I had stock options, this would be perfect since I have my two boys, and two nieces.  Boy, I’m somewhat in trouble?!  White stitchers for boys, rock star tees and diamond studded pacifiers.  Yeah…skull and crossbones diamond studded pacifiers.  Seriously.  This boutique has top of the line clothing and gifts that are perfect for any child.

AND yes they do have SOME sale items.  The sale items were placed out front.  And they did have some sweet smaller gifts for those of you who don’t feel like refinancing your home.  I do have to say, it was very hard to control myself.  If Rod hadn’t been with me..who knows the damage I would have done?

Posh Punkins is located on Town Center Blvd in El Dorado Hills.  For those of you who live on the opposite side of town, they are also opening a location in the Roseville Fountains.  YES!!  They carry girls clothing up to 10 years of age, and boys up to 7 years of age.   Check it out.

Cool place.  Cool locations.  Cool clothes.  :)

“Just checked out the store, everything was INCREDIBLY cute from the back little family room to every bit of clothing in the store.  Great little winter clothes & some on the clearance rack, and some perfect little spring outfits.  The service was superb, it was almost like I had an assistant doing my shopping for me, which was nice since not too many dad’s can figure this shopping thing out.  Some things were a little pricey but they were good quality.  An outfit, a super soft stuffed sheep, & a life like flower umbrella all for about the same price as 10 visits to Starbucks. WELL WORTH IT….”
