Nothing is More Beautiful than Potential
Friday, February 15th, 2008You may have noticed that Jill and I haven’t posted in the past couple of weeks! This is a HUGE no-no in the world of bloggers. But, we have good reason…we’ve been busy working to improve Nirvana Mommas!
Before I went on vacation, we met with the publisher of a fantastic magazine in
We are so excited to share our story - our goal is to inspire and motivate women like us to get over themselves and put their kids first. Come now…it’s not all that tough. This reminds me of a quote I saw recently: “Nothing is more beautiful than potential.” Think about it. Everyone has the potential to make their life what they want it to be. I think it’s true that we live the life we create for ourselves (well, okay, this isn’t true when it comes to tragedy…). But, with things within our control, I think it’s absolutely true. We believe divorced families have the potential to live in a peaceful way - if they are open to it.
When Jill and I first embarked on our journey, we had no idea it would take us down this path. We had no idea that being open to friendship with each other would put us in a position where we could share our story with others. Hell…we were just trying to retain our sanity, truth be told (and make our kids’ lives a lot more pleasant).
