There’s just something about curling-up with a great book and glass of wine (or nice, toasty hot beverage) that helps us relax…and learn something about life.  The following is a list of books on divorce and co-parenting that we found especially useful.  We’ll also continue to list books that we find inspiring (yep..there’s some great chick lit here, too!)

Mom’s House, Dad’s House: Making Two Homes for Your Child by Isolina Ricci

INSPIRATION, MOTIVATION, APPRECIATION OF LIFE…

  • Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert  (We take some pride in having read this before all the hype…but it’s a decadent take on Elizabeth’s personal post-divorce journey and makes our list.)
  • The Year of Magical Thinking by Joan Didion (A book on love lost and the author’s first person account of healing after the death of a spouse).
  • A Thousand Days in Venice by Marlena de Blasi (Marlena lived in Sacramento at one time and wrote this book years after her divorce. Yes, ladies.. she finds new love and happiness and runs away to Italy!)  Fabulous!
  • A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose by Eckhart Tolle (What would our list be without an Oprah Book Club rec?  This one really does help you live in the present moment.)
